CHR Continues Porsche Sprint Challenge Championship Push at VIR

Charlie Hayes Racing (CHR) returns to action this weekend at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for Round 5 of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America season. With just three race weekends remaining, VIR marks a pivotal point in the championship battle before the series takes a break until August, when competition resumes at Road America.

Building on the success of a strong 2025 campaign, CHR once again finds itself in title contention across multiple classes. Anna Cecchi has delivered a standout season so far, consistently competing at the front of the Cayman Pro/Am field and showcasing the pace and consistency needed to fight for a championship. She enters the weekend just four points behind the Cayman Pro/Am championship leader, while her father, Greg Cecchi, is only seven points behind the Cayman Masters championship leader heading into VIR.

The team also takes on a new challenge this weekend as Dan Drohan moves from Cayman Masters into the 992 Cup Masters class. After collecting multiple podium finishes in Cayman Masters, Drohan will make his debut in the 992 Cup class at VIR. CHR works closely with each driver to support their goals and development, and Drohan’s move represents the next step in his racing progression. The team is excited to support him as he takes on this next chapter behind the wheel.

With valuable championship points on the line and only three rounds remaining, VIR presents an important opportunity for CHR to strengthen its position in the championship fight. The team will look to deliver a strong weekend across all classes and carry that performance into the final stretch of the season.
